This site reports on a rolling research project by Dave Beck and Rod Purcell at the University of Glasgow exploring issues around food security, the political economy of food, and how this impacts both on our personal identity and the wider community.
We take a broad psychogeographic approach to this question exploring the range of food issues as they manifest themselves in public spaces. We also look at specific food related projects and selected research and reports.
It is important to view food issues in a global context. Consequently, we will be exploring a range of sites in the UK, as well as locations in the USA, Ethiopia and elsewhere.
In due course we will publish results in the traditional manner. But as we make the journey we will upload data (that is comments, impressions, thoughts, photos, videos, interviews, etc) from the road as we produce it.
